Moulded ballistic armour
ASL GRP have the capability to produce moulded armour components for both vehicle and marine application. Using the latest technology in lightweight materials including Carbon Aramid hybrids, full Aramid solutions and varied lightweight materials.
We incorporate ballistic materials into a high strength woven yarn, highly consolidated with a fire retardant resin system.
By taking moulds of your required vehicle platform we are able to supply protection for any vehicle platform, that can be externally clad.
We can design and manufacture moulded armour up to STANAG Level 2 stand alone, or higher, in conjunction with other base structures.
Moulded blast protection
Because we take direct moulds of your required vehicle or vessel, we are able to supply protection for any platform, that can be externally clad.
Underbelly plates are manufactured from a moulded Aramid solution, highly consolidated with a fire-retardant resin system.
The tooling is manufactured directly from the underside of a donor vehicle.
Legion Flexi-Armour is used within the rear seat foot wells to offer internal fragment protection.
Full independent blast tested against 2x DM51 grenades offers a standalone protection for the vehicle.
